New Bedford/Fairhaven's Manjiro Festival

Odaiko New England's mission to bring cultures together through taiko continues with performances in the Manjiro Festival in Fairhaven, MA on Saturday, October 3, 2009.

The festival, a fusion of American and Japanese traditions, celebrates the sister-city relationship between the communities of Fairhaven, New Bedford and Tosashimizu, Japan. So whether you’re craving clam chowdah or yakisoba, join us!

The Manjiro Festival opening ceremonies are at 10:00 AM and the festival runs until 5 PM. Odaiko New England will perform after the opening ceremonies at 10:30 AM and again at 1 PM.
