Leland HondaLeland was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1968 and moved to the United States shortly thereafter. Upon returning to Tokyo in the early 1980s for junior high school, Leland was first exposed to taiko. He returned to the states after high school to attend the University of Massachusetts, where he received a BA in Japanese Studies & International Relations. He later returned to UMass to earn an MBA. Leland has worked in the financial services industry for a number of years, and is currently an Investment Accountant at Simmons College in Boston. His interests are Japanese culture, Asian-American social and cultural issues, and the outdoors. |
