Taiko Styles Class

In our Taiko Styles Class more experienced taiko players explore several of the taiko styles that form a common bond and language throughout the international taiko community. Taiko Styles Class also continues the tradition of learning and playing taiko songs using kuchi showa.

Building on players’ past experience, Taiko Styles Class provides an opportunity to further refine basic kata and drumming techniques while learning more advanced repertoire. This class focuses on developing the skill sets to play rhythmically complex and physically demanding material.

Location: ACAS Center, 29 Montvale Ave., Woburn, MA (directions)
Cost: $275.00 for the fall semester (13 classes), $25.00/class drop in rate. $350.00 for the spring semester (16 classes), $25.00/class drop in rate.
Prerequisite: Minimally 6 months of taiko training AND instructor’s permission
Registration: Complete and mail in the registration form.

The 2012 Spring Semester of Odaiko New England's Taiko Styles Class starts January 24th, 2012 and ends May 8th. The class fee will be $350.00 for 16 classes.
